    You create a Profile by filling out the registration form and providing the Personal Data directly to

    Some of the Personal Data on your Profile such as first name, last name and email address is required whilst others are optional – you will have the option as to whether you would like to provide any such information. You don’t have to provide additional information on your profile; however, profile information helps you to get more from the services on our Site.

    Additional Personal Data Collected may include: profession, gender, profile picture, pictures, vital statistics, ethnicity, location, website hyperlinks, password, CVs, skills and expertise. When you create your Profile, your Profile (excluding your contact details such as email and postal address) will be visible to other registered and unregistered guest users of the Site. By providing your personal information for the purposes of your Profile, you consent to the Site’s collection, processing, storage and transfer of your personal data in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available.

    Personal Data From Others.

    You and others may share content (“Post”) that includes information about you (on a Sought Card, in images and via links) on our Site. Social actions such as Posting a Sought Card will be visible on your Profile and visible to other registered and unregistered guest users on our Site. Posts such as Sought Cards are accessible to the public via the Sought Card URL.

    Stay Connected.

    Our Site allows you to stay in touch and keep up to date with your professional contacts. To do so, you will Join Networks (“Connect”) with the professionals you choose, and who also wish to Connect with you. It is your choice whether you would like to send someone a connection request or allow another registered user to become your connection.

    Use of your personal data by others

    Personal data you choose to publish in your Profile may be accessed by other registered and unregistered guest users. Personal data that is not published on your Profile page may be used to help other registered users find your Profile (e.g. your profile will appear in search results if your criteria matches a search performed by a registered user).

    Once published by you, your Profile will be visible to the public via your Profile URL. The public will be able to access your Profile in the following ways:

    • When you share your Profile URL directly with members of the public (including hyperlinking your Profile on your own website)
    • When a registered or unregistered guest user of the Site hyperlink your Profile URL to members of the public; and
    • When you post a Sought Card on our Site and it is shared publicly.

    We will not disclose or make accessible to unregistered guest users and members of the public any personal data that you have not consented to being published on your Profile or posted on a Sought Card.

    Our Services

    Our Site allows viewing and sharing of information including through Profiles, Messages and Sought Cards.

    Our Site helps you search for other registered members (e.g. you can find members with particular skills or expertise & vital statistics; or search for members by name or location; or browse the network page).

    When you Post a Sought Card it can be viewed publicly and re-shared anywhere. Registered users and the Public will be able to access and view your Profile via the hyperlink attached to the Sought Card you Post.

    When you Connect with a registered user you are visible to the Profile owner and others as their connection.


    We use information held about you in the following ways:

    1. Information you give to us.
      We will use this information:
      1. To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information and services that you request from us;
      2. To provide you with information about other services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about;
      3. To notify you about changes to our services; and
      4. To ensure that the content from our Site is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer.
    2. Information we collect about you.
      We will use this information:
      1. To administer our Site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;

    • Notifications of new posts on the Sought Board.

    You may change your notification preferences at any time within your dokimi Profile.

    We may send you emails about the availability of our Site, security and other service-related issues. Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving service messages from us, including security and legal notices.


    The data that we collect from you is processed and stored within the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this processing and storage of your data.

    All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be processed via a third party payment and delivery service.

    Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site or the actions of other users of the Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.


    Our Site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our registered users, partner networks, advertisers and affiliates.     We retain your personal data while your Profile is in existence on our Site. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our Site. We may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever required to do so for the performance of a legal obligation or upon order of an authority. Once the retention period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted. Therefore, the right to delete data, the right to change or correct data and the right to access and/or take your data cannot be enforced after expiration of the retention period.


    We provide many choices about the collection, use and sharing of your data, from deleting or correcting data you include in your profile to controlling the visibility of your Posts on our Site.

    For personal data that we have about you:

    Delete Data: You can ask us to erase or delete all or some of your personal data (e.g. if you would like to delete your profile)

    Change or Correct Data: You can edit most of your personal data through your Profile. You can also ask us to change, update or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.

    Object to Use of Data: You can object to the processing of your data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other that consent.

    Limit or Restrict Use of Data: You have the right, under certain circumstances, to restrict the processing of your Data. In this case we will not process your Data for any purposes other than storing it. (You can do this by deactivating your Profile rather than deleting the Data.)

    Right to Access and/or Take Your Data: You can ask us for a copy of your personal data and can ask for a copy of personal data you provided in machine readable form.

    If you choose to delete your dokimi Profile your personal data will generally stop being visible to others on our services within 24 hours. Data will generally be permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion, except as noted below.

    We retain your personal data even after you have closed your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our User Agreement. We will retain de-personalized information after your account has been closed.

    We do not control data that other registered users, unregistered guest users or the public may have copied out of our Site. Your Profile may continue to be displayed in the services of others until they refresh their cache.


    We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS. We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you send us. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. 


    We will only collect and process personal data about you where we have lawful basis. Lawful basis include consent (where you have given consent), contract (where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you (e.g. to deliver the dokimi services you have requested)) and “legitimate interests”.
